Attention: Counseling services aren't being offered this year, 2012-2013, due to guidance class scheduling. If your student needs counseling, please contact the school psychologist, Mrs. Trisha Lynch (434-315-2100, extension: 3136).
Much of the fifth six weeks of school will be spent on character word of the week, good listening skills, getting along with others, good manners, and sharing.
I. Students will study friendship skills, good listening, cooperation, & classroom rules.
II. Students will learn skills in getting along and working with others. Concept: The basis for a peaceful world is an environment where children become friends, learn to work and play cooperatively, and respect the interdependence of all living things.
III. Each classroom visit will begin with a brief discussion of the character word of the week. The character words for the fifth six weeks are listed below:
